The other day when I was out, I walked past the tennis courts in the area by pure coincidence. It had been so long that I had almost forgotten they were there.

It's been too long since I've played. I still do some training on my own, but nevertheless I'm rather out of practice. Yukimura-kun would probably yell at me if he could see me now.

Not that I've had much opportunity to stay in practice. The courts have rackets and such available, but my own is still at home; I need to see if the shop can get that for me. (Niou-kun, perhaps we should have a match sometime.)

In the meantime, does anyone else here play tennis as well? I would appreciate having an opponent or two. If not tennis, then out of curiosity, do you play any other sports?

Excuse me, I have a question to ask... is there anyone here who would be capable of making a new pair of glasses?

I'm afraid mine have been... broken.

It's 11 at night when Yagyuu hears knocking on his bedroom window.

He blinks and looks up. Gets up from his desk and opens the window. In climbs one Niou Masaharu, grinning at him.

"Why are you here, Niou-kun?" he asks, going back over to the desk.

Niou flops down onto his bed. "I'm bored," he replies. "Entertain me."

Yagyuu sighs. "I'm still working on homework, Niou-kun." Granted, he's almost finished, but that's hardly the point.

"Booooooring." Niou stretches out on his bed, making himself comfortable. "Lighten up a bit, Yagyuu."

Yagyuu ignores him and keeps working.

A while passes like this, with Niou randomly interjecting with comments and Yagyuu absently replying as he works on his homework. Yagyuu won't admit it, but he's somewhat grateful for the distraction. After about 20 minutes or so, Niou falls silent.

"...Niou-kun?" Yagyuu says quietly, turning to look. Niou is still sprawled out on his bed, and by now very much asleep. His black t-shirt is riding up a little, exposing a bit of his stomach. He looks oddly peaceful like this, Yagyuu notes.

Forgetting homework for the moment-- he's just about done, anyway-- he turns around fully in his chair. He leans against the back of the chair; his posture relaxes and his eyes soften slightly as he watches Niou sleep.

*wakes up*

"I don't think this is going to work, Niou-kun."

He's standing before the mirror in the bathroom before practice, scrutinizing his messy white hair. Niou is next to him, but his hair is plain brown and well-kept.

"Like hell it's not going to work," Niou snorts. "We've been working on this for weeks."

"And it's good, but Yanagi-kun and Yukimura-kun will know," Yagyuu replies, glancing over at him. And frowns. Those are--

He reaches over and grabs Niou's wrist. "Not that pair."

"Aw, but why not?" Niou breaks free from Yagyuu's grip and settles the glasses on his nose. If the lenses weren't reflective, Yagyuu is sure they would magnify Niou's eyes enough to make him look like an owl blinking at him.

"I got you fakes for a reason. You'll make yourself dizzy." He reaches up and yanks the glasses away from Niou's face, then replaces them with a different-- seemingly identical-- pair.

"Spoilsport." Niou looks in the mirror and inclines his head, pushing his glasses up with his middle finger. Then he turns to look at Yagyuu.

"So, Niou-kun, shall we?" His voice is different now-- more formal, polite.

Yagyuu grins, his shoulders settling into a slouch. "I thought you'd never ask~"

--and then he wakes up with a jolt, breathing hard and staring at the ceiling wide-eyed. He leans over and fumbles with his glasses for a moment before managing to slip them on, still in shock from the dream.

"What on earth..."

[Background] Mostly the same as his canon, really, with only a few differences. First year in high school, on the tennis team, perfect student, etc. etc. Seriously, not much more to it than that.
[Relationships] Niou-- same as at Gakuen, except without the dying bit, obviously. Everyone else is a blank slate although there really aren't many more people he knows ANYWAY...
